South Korean streetwear brand Kasina has teamed up with Nike on the replica shoes Air Max 1. The collaboration celebrates both Kasina's 25th anniversary and replica shoes Air Max 1's 35th anniversary.
The Kasina x Nike replica shoes Air Max 1 will be available in two colorways inspired by the Won-Ang duck sentiment. Replica shoes are made from a mix of premium leather, suede and pony hair materials. Notable features include flowers on the outer toe cap of the mini Swoosh, Kasina branding on the tongue label and wooden lace dubraes on the icy translucent outsole.
Replica shoes come in mandarin duck color blocks and even include a matching duck tag. In Korean culture, wood-carved mandarin ducks (known as kireogi) are paired and often given as wedding gifts because it is believed that, unlike other types of ducks, they mate for life and if one dies, the others mourn . Kasina uses kireogi and marriage to celebrate their anniversaries and the theme of "Better Together".
